Professional. Reliable. No crown on my head. Hi! I’m Alexey — a motorbike enthusiast with 22 years’ riding experience and over 20 years’ experience in sourcing cars and motorbikes. I’ve been living in Da Nang for many years, and the local motorbike community knows me well. I ride a Versys 650 myself, which I found, bought and brought over from Hanoi. 📌 My specialities: — Harley-Davidson 🦅 I know every model inside out, including common faults, tuning options, etc. — Japanese brands (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki) 🇯🇵 I can tell the difference between a privately-owned bike and a rental that’s been cosmetically spruced up) — Rare and customised bikes 🛠 🕵️♂️ What I check during an inspection: ✅ Frame condition — geometry, signs of accidents ✅ Engine — noises, starting, leaks, even cylinder operation ✅ Electrical system — I use a multimeter to check the entire on-board electrical system, the charging system, and how healthy the battery is ✅ Paintwork — I use a paint thickness gauge to detect repainting and body filler ✅ Year of manufacture — I verify this by checking the markings on several parts. Often, the advert states the year of first registration. I expose the truth straight away. ✅ Frame and engine numbers — check for forgery or tampering ✅ Suspension, brakes, clutch, gearbox ✅ Signals, headlights, charging system, starter motor ✅ Check of documents, VIN verification. 🧰 I use my own tools and do everything properly. I have: A professional scanner for reading fault codes on all Japanese motorbike brands. An articulated endoscope for inspecting cylinders and valves (best-in-class quality; you can see everything clearly – not some cheap Chinese phone attachment for 500 dongs). A compression tester for measuring compression in the cylinders. A pyrometer to check that the cylinders are running evenly. A paint thickness gauge to check the paintwork for signs of repainting. As well as a mechanical stethoscope for pinpointing engine noises. And much more. 😎 I’m open and positive by nature, and I explain everything calmly. If I see that a motorbike is rubbish, I’ll be honest and advise against buying it. I’ve seen plenty of cases here of tampered frame numbers, mileage figures inflated fivefold, and signs of shoddy repairs. 📍 I work in Da Nang and the surrounding area. 📥 Send me a private message — I’ll help you find a motorbike that suits your needs. How the selection process works: 1. We discuss your budget and what sort of motorbike you need for your purposes. If anything, I’ll always recommend the most suitable option 2. You pay a small deposit 3. We decide exactly which motorbikes I’ll look for on your behalf (there’s nothing in Da Nang, so we’ll need to fly to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City) 4. I book the flights and negotiate with the sellers. If the bike is rare, I’ll put it on hold. 5. On a pre-arranged date, I’ll fly to collect the motorbike. I inspect it using tools, send you a detailed video with my comments and a recommendation on whether or not to buy it 6. If you’re happy with everything, I negotiate with the seller and try to get you the best price. After that, I draw up a contract of sale from the shop in your name. If you do not have a residence permit (TRC), the motorbike remains registered to the previous owner; you officially own it under the contract of sale, but cannot register it in your own name. 7. You transfer the payment to the shop’s bank details. My commission is 8 per cent of the purchase price plus transport costs. If I’m buying several motorbikes, I split the transport costs amongst all the customers. 8. On the same day, the motorbike is dispatched to your town by train; it will arrive within 2–4 working days. 9. Following purchase, a 3-month warranty applies to the engine and gearbox. I also guarantee that the motorbike has not been involved in any serious road accidents and has not required any engine repairs. 10. As you continue to use the bike, you’re always welcome to ask me any questions; I run a technical thread on the Catzillas chat and am happy to share my experience on motorbike maintenance.
